Cause info

Stichting Time to Help is committed worldwide to 'everyone who needs help' and places 'the human' central in its approach.

To provide aid to those in need, Stichting Time to Help runs various projects and activities. A few examples of our projects abroad are: water well projects, orphanage renovations, orphan sponsorship, medical screenings by our own volunteer doctors in remote areas without doctors, minor surgical procedures that the local population cannot afford (think of cataract, hernia, and fistula operations), emergency aid during natural disasters, clothing campaigns, and food package distribution.

Time to Help also provides support in the Netherlands with the following campaigns: food package distribution for refugees, supporting food banks with various campaigns, and meal distribution to the homeless.

Who pays for the donation?

The brand covers the cost, so you pay nothing extra. For each purchase, you decide which cause receives your free donation.

Brands pay us a commission when you shop through ShopDonation. We turn that commission into a donation for your chosen cause.

How much will the donation be?

That depends on the commission of the brand: you see the percentage or fixed amount below every shop logo.

Do I pay more when using DoelShop?

No. You pay exactly the same amount as if you went directly to the store's website.

Why would the brands pay for the donation?

The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.

Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.

Can I even save money when using DoelShop?

Yes! We negotiate exclusive deals, promotions and discounts with our affiliated brands, so you can even save money by shopping through DoelShop.

Do you sell my data to commercial parties?

No. We never sell your data. Webshops, causes and other users never get your name or email address from us. We only share anonymous data with a few essential services, such as Google Analytics.

Do I still earn loyalty points when I shop through a DoelShop link?

Yes. You earn the same loyalty points as when you go to the webshop directly.

How can I verify that it really works?

Both shoppers and causes can see all transactions and track funds raised in real time. Each donation shows exactly when it has been paid out. Try it yourself: make a purchase and you'll receive a confirmation of your donation. Read more about our transparency.

Is your service also available in other countries?

How much can causes earn?

On average per month:

  • a regular shopper: around €5, comparable to a regular monthly donor but without the recruitment costs
  • a business: €100 to €500

Our top shoppers have raised more than €2,000 for their cause in a few years.

What if I see a brand that I don't like on your website?

Causes can disable any brand for their shoppers. Ask the cause to disable the brand; it will then no longer appear when that cause is selected.
