MISSION
Orangutan Rescue protects the orangutan and its habitat in close cooperation with the local population
OBJECTIVES
Orangutan Rescue has three concrete objectives:
The care and rehabilitation of orangutans. We do this at the Sintang Orangutan Center
The preparation of orangutans for their release in the Tembak Lestari training forest.
The release of orangutans into the wild.
VISION
Indonesia’s rainforests are being extensively logged for timber and the establishment of oil palm plantations. The local population hardly benefits from this. Companies and the government often overlook the interests of the people who depend on these forests.
However, the rainforests are worth more if they are preserved. In countless ways, these forests provide clean water, healthy air, diverse food, and medicines. The rainforest also plays a crucial role in the global climate and, due to its unparalleled richness in plants and animals, is a source of imagination and inspiration for all humanity.
The orangutan is our guide through these forests. It shows us the richness of this ecosystem. As one of our closest relatives, it teaches us what the rainforest has to offer and how we can manage the forests sustainably. Threatened with extinction, the orangutan urgently needs our help to survive as a species.

The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.
Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.
